Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown, which was announced at gamescom 2025, now has a release date. The game will be available on 18 February 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. There are no plans for an Early Access release; a full release is planned instead. The game will cost €39.99. A Deluxe Edition will also be available for €49.99. This includes five additional missions, two new recruitable heroes and three new technologies.

In Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown, players take command of the U.S.S. Voyager as it traverses twelve sectors of the Delta Quadrant. They'll manage systems, crew and resources, engage in diplomacy and make difficult decisions along the way. "Player decisions shape both the fate of the crew and the configuration of the U.S.S. Voyager itself. With each playthrough, the ship becomes a different version of itself—reengineered and reimagined based on the path taken through the quadrant and the command decisions made along the way," says Daedalic. It blends exploration, ship (base) and resource management, roguelite elements, narrative adventure, and meaningful choices.

Alongside the start of the preorder of the standard and digital deluxe versions, a demo is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, incorporating the extensive feedback gathered from the community. The new version features improved UI clarity, enhanced ship-control feedback, refined combat pacing, and additional guidance in key decision-making moments, ensuring new captains can step onto the bridge with confidence. A demo for Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to follow soon as well as the updated version for the Steam PC demo. In the demo, captains will navigate a sector inspired by the legendary pilot episode "The Caretaker". The demo includes a guided tutorial and approximately an hour of gameplay.

"Following the demo release, we’ve taken lots of valuable player feedback on board. This valuable input allows us to refine core gameplay systems even further, polish localization, and add meaningful details – ensuring the journey through the Delta Quadrant will shine when the game launches in early 2026," says Daniel Bernard, Game Director at gameXcite.

Jonas Hüsges, COO of Daedalic Entertainment GmbH, shared the following:
"Matching the spirit of Starfleet, we want to bring this adventure to as many of you as possible on day one. The additional time allows us to synchronize all platforms, including the newly added Nintendo Switch 2 version and improve the game on all levels. A unified launch is the right call for a story about a crew that survives by sticking together. We’re excited to give fans the best possible voyage home."

gameXcite is the developer of Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown. The Hamburg-based company received funding from the German Federal Government's Games Funding Programme for a project called 'Galactic Journey' (€404,808 and €142,775 for a Switch 2 port), which is believed to be Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown. Founded in 2016, Gamexcite is a subsidiary of Jumpgate that develops mobile, PC and console games based on popular intellectual property.
