Sony Interactive Entertainment will return to the Tokyo Game Show this year as an exhibitor for the first time since 2019. However, it is still unclear what the company will be showing. As previously announced, SIE will not exhibit at gamescom 2024.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will not be exhibiting at gamescom 2024. However, the company will be exhibiting at Tokyo Game Show 2024, according to the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association exhibitor list. SIE will be exhibiting in both the General Exhibition Area and the FamilyGame Area. This will be the first time since 2019 that Sony Interactive Entertainment exhibits at the Tokyo Game Show in Chiba. Details of the programme have not yet been announced. Perhaps the 30th anniversary of the first PlayStation is a possible theme for the show.

The Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association, which organises the Tokyo Game Show, writes about the scope of this year's event: "As of July 4th, 731 exhibitors, including 448 from Japan and 283 from overseas, will be participating in TGS2024. The event will be held on the largest-ever scale and will host a total of 3,190 exhibition booths, exceeding last year's record in TGS history."

Tokyo Game Show 2024 will be held at Makuhari Messe (Mihama-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture) from 26 September to 29 September 2024. Bandai Namco Entertainment, Capcom, Hooded Horse Europe, Koei Tecmo Games, Konami Digital Entertainment, Level Infinite, Nexon, Sega, SNK, Square Enix and Ubisoft Japan will also be exhibiting in the general exhibition area, as will THQ Nordic. A German booth, the German Pavilion, is also on site, organised by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. Furthermore, Nintendo and United Games Entertainment can be found in the Business Meeting Area.
