After SubwaySim Hamburg, the second installment allows players to operate two lines of the Berlin subway. Publisher Aerosoft (Paderborn) and developer Simuverse Interactive (Vienna) will release SubwaySim 2 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 29 April.

Starting 29 April, players will be able to operate three subway lines in Germany. In addition to the U3 line in Hamburg, the U1 and U3 lines in Berlin will be available in SubwaySim 2. These lines are above ground. The game covers a total distance of 40 kilometers with 51 stations - and with three subway trains, the Hamburg DT5 and the Berlin A3L or A3L92.

The game features a career mode, including random events on the track, operational disruptions and dynamic weather. Compared to its predecessor, the graphics and many details are said to have been improved. SubwaySim 2 is the sequel to the subway simulation SubwaySim Hamburg, which was released in May 2023.

SubwaySim 2 from Aerosoft and Simuverse will be released on 29 April 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PS5 version will also be available in retail stores.
