This is because the installed base of the Switch 2 in Germany has not yet reached the size necessary for the top 20 to be flooded with new releases and catalog games from Nintendo in December. As a result, it is not a big challenge for last month's front-runner, EA Sports FC 26, to maintain its position.

However, the runner-up, Hogwarts Legacy, is likely to have benefited from its release on the new Nintendo console.

What is remarkable about the year-end list is that Battlefield 6 is now ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 in Germany again. This contradicts the trend seen in the European PlayStation Store charts, for example.

Speaking of which, ARK Raiders, which ranked second in the European PlayStation Store charts and first in the North American charts, is missing from the top 20 listing. This may, of course, be due to local sales, but it is also reminiscent of Black Myth: Wukong, which was also not in the charts at the time because the title was simply not reported to GSD.
