Nintendo has announced its intention to acquire Bandai Namco Studios Singapore Pte Ltd (BNSS) from Bandai Namco Studios Inc., with the aim of strengthening its development structure. The Kyoto-based company intends to acquire 80% of BNSS's shares by 1 April 2026. The remaining shares will be acquired at a later date, once BNSS's operations have stabilised.

Following the acquisition of these shares, BNSS will become a Nintendo subsidiary and will continue its development operations under the new name Nintendo Studios Singapore Pte Ltd.

Founded in 2013, BNSS is a development company specialising in creating in-game art assets and was one of Bandai Namco Group's overseas bases. BNSS has contributed to the development of Nintendo titles and continues to maintain an ongoing business relationship with Nintendo. The studio has been involved in Splatoon 3, New Pokémon Snap, Code Vein, Ace Combat 7, Monster Hunter: World, and Mario Sports: Superstars, among others.
