The German Federal games funding round for July 2025 sees Wild River Games, Just2D, ByteRockers' and several other getting a total of 4.098.467 euros.

The Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy has published the newest federal games funding confirmations. These run from July 2025 and give out a total of 4.098.467 euros.

Notably, Just2D’s next project after Drova, codenamed ‘Topas’, is receiving about 405,000 euros, after a first batch of 99,882 euros from the ministry that ran until May 2025.

The highest amount of this funding batch goes to Wild River Games from Ismaning in Bavaria for their horse game dubbed Horse Clubbed World.

One game gets double-funded: The new Bibi und Tina game ‘Das große Reitturnier’ will be produced in cooperation between Korion Interactive and Markt + Technik Verlag. Both companies received individual funding for the game, together totaling 382,308 euros.

  • Pumpernickel Studio Software GmbH & Co. KG for “a roguelike realtime 4X game with city builder elements”: 305,513 €
  • ByteRockers' Games GmbH & Co. KG for Dicebound: 287,990 €
  • KORION Interactive GmbH for Bibi und Tina - Das große Reitturnier: 240,147 €
  • Mortian UG (haftungsbeschränkt) for Mortian Online: 194,042 €
  • Markt + Technik Verlag GmbH for Bibi und Tina - Das große Reitturnier: 142,161 €
  • Edurino GmbH for Ari 2 - Kochen und Gesunde Ernährung: 137,293 €
  • WastedStudios UG (haftungsbeschränkt) for Restless: 135,621 €
